There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly and Harold and the Purple Crayon.
Why?
Because the Old Lady swallows a dog and in J's words, "I'll never see the dog again" (complete with tears running down her cheeks).
And because Harold's Purple Crayon draws a scary dragon. They won't even look at the book by themselves and claim they don't like it because there is a dragon on one page.
Fortunately they couldn't find anything wrong with Apple Farmer Annie.
